Poison Ivy Cure - Impatiens? - natural remedies for poison ivy
Child, it is my worst blunder was - rub a piece of ivy on my skin and see the fear in the eyes of my friends - and his surprise, he never had the rash.
27 years later, and covered from head to toe, I think I lost some time.
I had this for 4 days and begins to blister. The elbows are covered by a rash, I can not bend me.
I went to the doctor and got a cortisone injection which helped to alleviate some of the itching, but not the burning pain. Methlypredisolone is planned, but has enormous psychological effects, and I'm frankly afraid to take. Calamine does not seem to irritate sensitive skin.
I heard that impatiens are a good natural remedy. Can regular impatiens, or should the touch-me-not?
THANK YOU!

Well, I went to the doctor and tell him your fears and get a different medication. I am terribly allergic to poison ivy, and gives me an old recipe - a container called - and a kind of steroid. Is taken as 5 tablets on the first day, four the next and so on.
I do not know any home remedies that work. Get Well Soon.
Steroid shot or pill doc
Someone has told me to put the party in tomato juice for some time.
Yes, it works!
For a home remedy, try applying the crushed leaves of Impatiens Impatiens capensis (). The beauty of this home remedy is that impatience is a common weed in wetlands. This "treatment" may well be growing your own garden!
Even cold therapy in one form or another are very relaxing. Try it with a towel or cloth in tap water or Burow's solution (an astringent solution - you can do, even with the help of Burow's tablets or powder packets without prescription soaked). This can help to alleviate the severe itching and remove dry crust that formed after the eruption. A fan blows over the cold compress will diminish some of the heat of the itching and help some dry mud from the eruption. Because the skin is cooled, re-compress blood vessels and reduces the itching and the mud. This is especially good the eruption in two or three worst days. In a similar vein, some dermatologists recommend rubbing an Ice Cube gently over the rash several times a day, then letting of dry skin on the air. Immersion in a bath, especially with a bath of oatmeal like Aveeno, can also be very soothing to the itching. Make sure the bathroom is cold or warm - not hot - as heat tends to break more inflamed.
